Audubon California’s Landowner Stewardship Program (LSP) works with private landowners to conserve and restore wildlife habitat on farms and ranches in a manner compatible with existing agricultural operations.

Our long-term programmatic goals are to enhance and restore riparian, oak woodland and grassland habitats, improve forage quality, improve water quality and reduce erosion. We partner with private landowners to design and implement conservation projects on farms, ranches and other rural properties. These wildlife friendly projects are designed to maintain and enhance the physical and economic conditions for agriculture, while improving habitat for wildlife.
