Global Warming

Global warming is the biggest environmental threat of our lifetime. Leading scientists from around the world agree that man-made greenhouse gases from fossil fuels are impacting birds, wildlife, and habitat.

Audubon California is working to address the challenges of climate change in a number of ways. Through cutting-edge research, we are learning how different bird species are reacting to environmental changes, and what we learn will help guide conservation efforts well into the future. On the policy level, we are actively calling upon the state Legislature to reduce emissions and fully fund programs to help wildlife cope with the environmental impacts of climate change.
