Twenty-two birds of eleven species were caught on the banding day (13 new birds, 6 recaptures and 3 undbanded birds). Six of these birds hatched this spring, compared to only one hatch year bird during the previous banding session. Two of the recaptured birds, an Orange-crowned Warbler and a Common Yellowthroat, were first banded in 2015.
Kim and the staff at Starr Ranch send a big Thanks to everyone who volunteered, and a special thanks to Marcus Goncalves for providing the great photos.
