Where did birds fleeing the Sonoma/Napa fires go?

Interesting article talking about how birds fleeing the Sonoma/Napa fires poured into nearby regions looking to get away from the smoke. Lots of birds turned up in San Francisco and the East Bay. Audubon California's Andrea Jones is quoted talking about how wildfires are typically considered good for ecosystem health, but that this might be changing. "We're going to have to rethink the way we look at fires," she said. "It may not always be positive. We're getting these absolutely gigantic fires, and it's not yet certain how they will impact the landscape and wildlife."
