"All of us at Audubon California are greatly saddened to hear the news this morning about the loss of Nancy McFadden. As a leading architect of California’s recent political renaissance, McFadden embraced and elevated what was special about California and helped shape some of the boldest legislative achievements this country has seen in recent years. We always appreciated her dedication to protecting the Golden State’s natural treasures, and preserving a legacy of environmental protection and leadership for California and the rest of the country. Our thoughts are with her family, and we share our deepest condolences."
