Audubon California statement on State Assembly's vote to approve parks bond (AB 18)

Audubon California looks forward to supporting this legislation as it moves to the State Senate.

Sacramento, CA – Following the vote earlier today in the California State Assembly approving Assembly Bill 18 (Garcia – Coachella), Audubon California Director of Public Policy Michael Lynes issued the following statement:

“Congratulations to Assembly Member Eduardo Garcia on AB 18 passing out of the Assembly. AB 18 is an important bill to provide much-needed funding to California’s community, regional, and state parks – and for protecting California’s environment. In a time with the federal government is slashing funding for the environment, California will continue to lead in prioritizing clean and healthy communities and the environment. Audubon California looks forward to working with members of the Senate on AB 18.”
