Saving Habitat
Audubon California and the state's 48 independent chapters have worked for decades to protect and restore vital bird and wildlife habitats throughout California. We are involved in many aspects of conservation, from restoration to preservation to identification and monitoring.
Many of California's chapters are involved with their own conservation activities, adding local strength and influence to the Audubon network.
Audubon California also works cooperatively with farmers provide native bird habitat on their property. We advocate for enforcement of our environmental laws, we conduct ground-breaking research on a network of preserves and sanctuaries, and we help inner-city kids understand and appreciate the value of the remaining patches of walnut habitat in their neighborhoods.
California is a diverse place, and Audubon California wants to keep it that way.
