Any bird enthusiast who used to lug around a giant bird guide on hikes certainly knows by now that things have changed. The availability of encycopedic bird guides in mobile applications has transformed what we do, and no one has helped that along more than Green Mountain Digital, which makes Audubon's terrific birding app as well as a ton of other great nature guides. The folks from GMD will be on hand Oct. 20 at our event in Venice to talk about their guides and give demonstrations. They'll join our main speaker, Birding Adventure Television's James Curie, Three Hoots Wines, and Renee Thompson (author of The Plume Hunter) for this terrific evening.
