Volunteers are needed to help count shorebirds around San Francisco Bay. The Pacific Flyway Shorebird Survey is a monitoring program led by PRBO Conservation Science in partnership with Audubon California and many other organizations. The survey is designed to guide the management and conservation of wintering shorebirds in the Pacific Flyway. In San Francisco Bay, the shorebird survey is taking place on Nov. 19 and 20. Visit the survey website to learn more and sign up to help. We appreciate your assistance in this important effort! (photo of American Avocets by Orchid Outriggers)
