Great article and video in the Los Angeles Times yesterday on the successful efforts to restore the Bolsa Chica Wetlands in Huntington Beach. What isn't detailed very well in the story is the significant role played by local Audubon chapters: Los Angeles Audubon, Sea & Sage Audubon, and El Dorado Audubon. In partnership with the two major players on Bolsa Chica -- Amigos de Bolsa Chica and the Bolsa Chica Land Trust -- the chapters worked hard to establish quality bird habitat at the site.
