Bird-Friendly Communities

Let's Go Birding Together (LGBT)

June is Pride Month, and Audubon is celebrating with Let's Go Birding Together bird walks and other LGBTQ inclusive activities.

June marks Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month, popularly known as Pride Month. Celebrations include pride parades, picnics, parties, and, in the case of Audubon, bird walks. Our Let's Go Birding Together series was founded and organized by Jason St. Sauver, Community Education director at Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center in Denton, Nebraska. Audubon sites across the country have joined Jason in creating inclusive birding events.

Let's Go Birding Together walks are for everyone who loves birds and the outdoors. We welcome those who identify as LGBTQ, allies, families, and anyone who wants to enjoy an outdoor experience that is inclusive.
