Thank you to everyone who participated in today's Firstbird survey. The Acorn Woodpecker was spotted up and down California and the hummingbird continues to be a frequent backyard visitor. The Black Phoebe also made an appearance on the list again. Did you know that the Black Phoebe is a like a dog? It enjoys being around people and also "wags" its tail! Now if only it could fetch slippers...
