Protecting California's Tricolored Blackbird

Dairy Cares creates video supporting conservation on dairy farms.

We are seeing a great deal of enthusiasm in the dairy industry in prepping for potential nesting birds. One of our partner organizations, Dairy Cares, created the above video to educate their members. Seeing enthusiasm so early on is very promising. The steep decline in Tricolored Blackbird population numbers makes these partnerships and on-the-ground efforts more important than ever.

In addition to helping farmers, we are busy implementing our long-term conservation solution – creating new wetland habitat. Several chapters have received grants from us to support work doing restoration on private and public wetlands. We hope to attract birds to these sites for the first time this year!

This year a generous donor has offered to match your gift to the Tricolored Blackbird Conservation Fund dollar for dollar and bird for bird. Will you please consider making a gift? Just like last year, every single dollar donated will go directly to this program. Donate here.
