The 2012 Audubon Christmas Bird Count has officially begun! We cannot contain our excitement about this year's activities. In addition to our usual coverage, we have Nature Ali as a special CBC correspondent. Ali will be attempting to attend an almost record-breaking number of California counts and sharing every moment with us here on the Audublog.

We are also taking this year's count social on our Pinterest board. We have opened up the pinning rights and encourage anyone taking photos or writing blog posts to contact us so we can give you access to pin away your experience. If you don't feel savvy enough to jump on the Pinterest train, feel free to email us your content for us to share.

It's also not too late to sign-up. Many circles are still looking for birders to participate, visit our website if you need to find a count near you.
