As part of its ongoing effort to introduce the birds of the Los Angeles River to new audiences, staff from the Audubon Center at Debs Park last Saturday teamed with the Elysian Park Slow Ride (that's slow, as in casual and fun) for a morning of biking and birding. The group started at Steelhead Park and meandered along the river to the Spoke Bicycle Cafe. The Center provided binoculars and bird guides for the group. Although there had been rain in Los Angeles, the group took advantage of blue skies for this fun morning.
