A group of Audubon folks are visiting Owens Lake this week to catch up on conservation efforts there and, well, just dig all the birds. They've seen plenty, including Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Snow Geese, White-fronted Geese, Gadwall, Northern Shoveler, Eared Grebe -- more than 25 species in all. Check out the photos of this spectacular landscape, and be sure to check out the latest on our efforts to protect vital habitat for birds here.
