Yesterday, California Condor pair #79 and #374 welcomed a chick into the world. Things didn't always look so good for this species. At one point in time we thought it might go extinct, but through the ardent advocacy of bird lovers like you, this bird is in the process of a triumphant comeback. Audubon California was there in Sacramento then, and we are in Sacramento now.

Lawmakers at the state captial make decisions every day that impact the future of the birds we cherish. There are many threats facing California birds: climate change, overdeveloped coasts, and lack of forage fish. We need your help spreading the urgency of these threats to your elected officials. Please join us on our annual advocacy day, being held this year on June 8.
