There will be a bird walk starting at 8:00am at the North Campus Open Space, and those wanting to participate should meet at the parking lot at 6969 Whittier Drive, Goleta.
Parking at the Nature Center is by permit in the adjacent UCSB parking lot, (there is a machine in the lot to obtain a permit). People are encouraged to carpool!
The meeting will start at 9:15. Coffee, tea, fruit and muffins will be available in the morning, and SBAS will be providing salads and sandwiches for lunch (if you have special dietary needs, please bring your own lunch, there is a refrigerator on site). A special thanks go out to Dolores Pollock, Janice Levasheff, and the rest of the SBAS team for their work in setting up this meeting!
Also, attending from Audubon CA are Gaylon Parsons, Deputy Director, and Andrea Jones, Director of Bird Conservation. Andrea will be presenting a Coastal Conservation Workshop.
Steve Ferry of SBAS will present on the Strauss Wind Energy Project.
