After a long court battle that eventually shrunk the size of a solar energy plant in the Panoche Valley, a new protected habitat area has opened. The Panoche Valley Preserve is mitigation for a greatly reduced plant from what was initially proposed. Our friends at the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society helped make this happen, along with several other great groups. It's terrific that this great habitat will be preserved.
