The Los Angeles Times' Louis Sahagun has written an amazing piece on the story of Topa the California Condor. Originally brought into captivity in 1967 as one of the last remaining breeding males of his species, Topa has gone on to sire 21 chicks, an amazing contribution to the longevity of his kind.
