There is a new tool out there for bird photographers called Imgembed. The site not only shares photographs, it monetizes them for the up-loader in an easy to track manner. The pricing is set by the photographer and guarantees proper attribution on every image. What makes Imgembed superior to a traditional stock photography site is that the customer do not need to buy packages, but rather can pay as he or she goes. The founder, Alex Goh, refers to his company's pricing model as a "farmer's market" for photographs.
