"We are extremely disappointed at the news this morning of alleged gross mismanagement at State Parks, and we support a full investigation in potential wrongdoing on behalf of officials charged with overseeing these great California treasures. Everyone is aware of the financial difficulties facing our state park system in recent years, and this news is just another grievous injury to these special places that touch the lives of millions of Californians each year. These parks represent the best of California, and deserve our best efforts to safeguard and nuture them for future generations. I speak for everyone at Audubon when I say that we look forward to better days for our parks."
