Sad news out of Petaluma today about how Caltrans workers trying to keep Cliff Swallows away from new construction actually ended up killing at least 30 of the migratory birds. The obstacles we sometimes place in front of these birds makes their migration all the more amazing. (photo by Glen Tepke)
