The Environmental Protection Agency has struck a tentative settlement to restrict the use of dozens of pesticides in Bay Area habitat zones that host sensitive species. The agreement was in response to a lawsuit filed by the Center for Biological Diversity. Counties covered by the agreement are Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solana and Sonoma.
