Looks like the Governor and the Big 5 are making some progress on the water reform package, and so the Governor is signing some bills. You might recall that he had threatened to veto everything on his desk unless lawmakers sent him a good bill to deal with the state's water problems. We were concerned that Audubon's anti-poaching bill, AB 708, might get caught up in the politics. While we haven't heard anything on AB 708 in particular, the fact that other bills are getting signed probably bodes well.
