Gov. reportedly tells legislators to pull back bills, including Audubon's poaching bill

Gov. Schwarzenegger has reportedly asked legislators to pull back about 700 bills currently sitting on his desk awaiting his signature until a deal is reached on fixing the state's water problems. Many in the capitol believe that this action is intended to back up his earlier threat to veto all bills unless lawmakers arrive at a water deal. This is particularly frustrating for Audubon California as one of the many bills on the Governor's desk is Assembly Bill 708, which addresses the alarming increase in poaching in California. We've been asking people to send the Governor emails asking him to sign AB 708. If you haven't done so already, now is a good time. Send your email today.
