Audubon is working to secure strong funding and sound policy wins that benefit the Colorado River Basin, including advocacy for vital water conservation programs. At the end of June, the Departments of Interior and Agriculture announced an important new agreement to begin coordinating two important water conservation programs—WaterSMART and the Environmental Quality Incentives Program—in order to achieve even greater on-the-ground impacts for people and birds.
