Birds can’t lobby for the protections they need to thrive in California, but we certainly can.
Registration is now open for Audubon California’s Annual Advocacy Day which will be held in Sacramento on June 8 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This year, our focus will be on improving accountability at the California Coastal Commission, creating new regulations to protect birds and other wildlife from drones, protecting California’s precious and endangered eelgrass resources, and ensuring that California remains at the forefront in fighting and adapting to climate change.
Attendees will also have a chance to speak with their representatives about their own priorities from their districts, and perhaps make some connections that they can use in the future.
The day will start with a light breakfast at a site right next to the Capitol. Then you’ll hear opening remarks from Audubon California Executive Director Brigid McCormack and get a quick tutorial on how to deliver your messages to legislators.
After that, we’ll hit the Capitol and meet some elected officials.
We’d love to have you join us on June 8. Click here to sign up.
