L.A. County bans styrofoam food containers at its facilities

Los Angeles County has taken the remarkable step of banning the use of styrofoam food containers at most of its facilities, including "restaurants, catering trucks, hospitals, golf courses and concessions." The Board of Supervisors made the change while it studies an even wider ban. Styrofoam food containers have been proven to be a danger for the environment, particularly birds.
