Students from Dorsey High School in South Los Angeles have released their award-winning short (3 min.) film on Snowy Plovers on LA County Beaches to YouTube. It is also available in Spanish. The film was made in collaboration with Los Angeles Audubon’s Director of Interpretation Stacey Vigallon, who is also Volunteer Coordinator for the Snowy Plover Project partnership program between Los Angeles Audubon, Santa Monica Bay Audubon and Palos Verdes/South Bay Audubon.
The video will be screened tonight as part of Audubon Film Fridays at 8 pm outdoors under the stars at the Audubon Center at Debs Park. All the filmmakers will be there.
