Laysan in L.A.

It's early yet, but it's going to be hard to beat this story as our favorite of the day. A Laysan Albatross recently turned up in the back of some guy's truck in Los Angeles. The bird was completely healthy, and nobody knows for sure how it got there. Experts are guessing that it hitched a ride on a boat out in the Pacific and ended up in San Pedro. Anyway, the story ends well. The bird got some rest at a rehab center and then was released out into Pacific, where it will probably head for Hawaii or other parts unknown.
