The State Senate was up late last night working on several bills that seek to solve California's ongoing water crisis. Two bills were ultimately approved by the Senate and two were left to be resolved this morning. The Assembly is set to take up similar legislation today. Legislative leaders are predicting that they'll get them all done today. We'll see. This issue is a big one for Audubon California as we're working hard to ensure no net loss of bird habitat in whatever package gets through.
