Although the deal on the table is much smaller than the one initially proposed last year, the Long Beach City Council last night directed its staff to negotiate a land swap that would ultimately preserve part of the Los Cerritos Wetlands. the site is a critical part of the Orange Coast Wetlands Important Bird Area.
