Dan Gardoqui has always been a mimic. From a young age, he'd imitate household appliances, family and friends. As a teenager, he was turned onto birds and learned how to whistle like most of the diverse birds of his region.

Dan earned a Masters degree Natural Resources, served as science faculty for multiple college and co-founded and led a nature connection nonprofit for 20 years. He helped design the permanent exhibit "A Bird's World" at the Boston Museum of Science and served was Science & Audio Editor for “What the Robin Knows: How Birds Reveal Nature’s Secrets"'
Today, Dan runs Lead with Nature, where he does nature-based consulting and custom educational programs for businesses, communities and individuals.
