Point Reyes hosts some of the best birding in the United States. The area boasts nearly 490 avian species in the greater area. This weekend the Environmental Action Committee of West Marin will host its 2013 Point Reyes Birding Festival. This event will run Friday through Sunday at Point Reyes Station. This year's highlights include birding trips of Drakes Estero, Birding Bolinas by bike with Audubon California friend Josiah Clark and a field discussion on the birds of Tomales Bay.
