This American Golden-Plover is doing a happy dance because the Obama Administration just formally transmitted its recommendation that Congress permanently protect the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge as Wilderness. The President said: “This area is one of the most beautiful, undisturbed places in the world. It is a national treasure and should be permanently protected through legislation for future generations.”
