As the political conversation about how to deal with the Salton Sea continues year after year, this invaluable habitat for birds and other wildlife in the Imperial Valley just continues to wither and die. We were reminded of this by the recent NPR story on the issue, which also highlights the fact that as the lake disappears, so too does the community around it.
