If you're looking to get your spring migration on this weekend, we want to remind you about two great nature festivals going on. First, there's a Audubon Kern River Preserve's Spring Festival. It's a bit of a drive for most, but the chance to enjoy one of the state's great birding areas makes it well worth it. Then there's Godwit Days up north, another prime spot to see northward migrating shorebirds. If you're in the area of either of these, get there. (photo by USFWS)
