White-crowned Sparrows preparing for departure

Bird enthusiasts throughout California are enjoying the popular White-crowned Sparrows while they can, because by the end of the month the bulk of these birds are going to be heading north for Canada and Alaska, where they breed. Look below the fold to get a sense of when the White-crowned Sparrow migration will get started:
