As expected, Gov. Schwarzenegger yesterday announced that he would veto the two energy bills that came out of the Legislature this year and instead issue sweeping executive orders that describe how the state will meet its renewable energy goals. As we've said before, climate change presents the single biggest threat to the survival of California birds, which makes the manner in which we reduce our global greenhouse gas emissions of vital importance to bird conservation.
