Apparently, the easiest way to see a rare California Condor is at the zoo. Or more specifically, at the zoos. As the Santa Maria Times points out, two California zoos have recently opened California Condor exhibits: The Santa Barbara Zoo and the San Diego Zoo. As the article notes, there are condors at the Los Angeles Zoo, but they're not on display -- the zoo runs an important rehabilitation center that has provided critical aid to condors. Of course, if you're patient and want to see the condor in the wild, there are places -- such as Big Sur -- where you just might catch one in the air.
