According to a number of news reports this morning, Gov. Schwarzenegger has directed his Department of Finance to find other cuts in the budget that will allow the state to greatly reduce the number of parks closed. Furthermore, he has withdrawn plans to release a list of targeted parks and now says the number will be far fewer than the 100 he had originally planned to shutter.
