As we mentioned yesterday, Gov. Schwarzenegger has threatened to veto all legislation on his desk if lawmakers don't approve some form of water reform this year. Today, the Los Angeles Times takes a closer look at the threat. Audubon California definitely wants to see the state's water issues resolved, but we don't want to see several important conservation bills to fall through the cracks. In particular, we want to see Assembly Bill 708 signed. This bill is dear to the hearts of bird advocates because it creates strong deterrents to poaching. You can help by sending the Governor an email asking him to sign the bill today.
