This blog and our Facebook page have been discussing a lot of anecdotal information about Brown Pelicans turning up sick or dead all up and down the coast. The Los Angeles Times today takes a good look at the problem, and apparently this is more widespread than we might have thought. Sure, the problem might have something to do with global warming, but more likely it's the result of bad timing between food availability and bad storms.
