A few weeks ago, we noted that sightings of Black-headed Grosbeaks were starting to pop up around California. Well, if they were just arriving then, they're here in full force now. The Black-headed Grosbeak winters in southern Mexico and Baja. Here's the recent eBird map of sightings for April:
