You can help California birds -- in the Arctic

The National Audubon Society this month is drawing attention to the importance of protecting bird habitat in the Arctic, particularly in those areas that are impacted by oil development. The video below, created by our colleagues at Audubon Alaska, talks about the Teshekpuk Lake, where millions of birds go to breed every year, including many from California (Pacific Brant, Snow Geese, and many others). The video is beautiful and eye-opening:

Please support Audubon's campaign to protect Arctic birds. Make no mistake, when you help birds there, you help birds here. There are two ways to help -- by making your opinion known to lawmakers, or by donating to our cause.
