Millions of birds depend on habitat provided by California's farms and ranches. Audubon California works with landowners to protect birds without diminishing the economic value of the land. We worked with over 100 partners last year, folks we like to call our farmer bird heroes.
In appreciation for all that these heroes do, we asked bird lovers from all over to extend their appreciation and the response was astonishing -- we received over 700 personalized thank you notes from 12 countries and 32 states. Watch the slideshow for a sampling of some of the kind words people had to share.
