Founded in 1883, the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History has long treasured its relationship with landscape painters. (The image above is from a painting by the artist Albert DeRome [1885-1959], who contributed several works to the PG Museum.) The aim of this juried exhibition is to create new relationships between 21st century artists and the museum. It seeks to show the Central Coast’s dramatic and diverse scenery through painters’ eyes and brushes, and to heighten museum visitors’ awareness of the region’s unique and diverse habitats. This juried exhibition is open to both established and emerging artists. Entrants must be residents of Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito, or San Luis Obispo Counties (California).
