San Francisco Chronicle editorializes in favor of AB 711 and a lead-free environment

Joining just about every other major newspaper in California, the San Francisco Chronicle today tells Gov. Brown to sign Assembly Bill 711, which would require nonlead ammunition for hunting. From the paper's editorial board:

There is no safe level of lead for humans or in the environment. That's why lawmakers and scientists have worked to bar the heavy metal from gasoline, paint, cookware and toys. Now it's time for Gov. Jerry Brown to sign a measure passed by the Legislature that would ban lead from bullets, which spew the metal into California's outdoors and the wildlife food chain.
