The Associated Press is reporting that the U.S. Fish and Wildllife Service is recommending that the Marbled Murrelet should maintain its status as a threatened species in Washington, Oregon and California. You may remember that logging interests are pushing to have the species delisted. Audubon California has recommended that the bird's status actually be upgraded to endangered. Moreon the story here.
